About The Position

As a Field Sales Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in connecting technical solutions to customer needs. This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy blending technical expertise with relationship-building. You’ll be responsible for leading design activities, presenting solutions, and supporting sales efforts to help customers achieve their goals. You will report directly to the Manager , Network Field Sales Engineering .

Requirements

  • BS in CS, Information Systems, related domain or equivalent years of industry related experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Sales or Networking Engineer or equivalent supporting scale-out data center or HPC customers
  • Deep knowledge of data center technologies, cloud switching, and virtualization.
  • Knowledge of Server and Storage virtualization
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a proven track record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial and CxO levels
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently, especially in remote settings.
  • Proven Technical Translator skills, ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of networking and complex software integration
  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing workload and identifying areas/making recommendations for improvements on existing process
  • Established computer skills, MS Office (Word/ Powerpoint /Excel) a must .
  • A passion for customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
  • Detail oriented, analytical, with excellent priroitization skills
  • Self-motivated and work effectively in remote offices if needed.
  • Fanatical in your passion for customer success

Nice To Haves

  • Consulting, pre-sales and/or sales engineering experience preferred
  • Demonstrated skills ensuring programs and policies are consistent with the strategic plans and initiatives of the Company
  • Leading graphics programs (Illustrator/Photoshop) a plus.
  • Creative in your ability to document your proposals (graphic design experience a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support design and sales activities, ensuring customer requirements are met.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for prospects, customers, and the sales team.
  • Determine business and technical requirements and ensure effective communication of proposed recommendations to senior management
  • Present products and technical proposals to end-users during consulting engagements to address their often-complex requirements, design value-driven architectures, and explain the application and ROI of these solutions.
  • Support the sales team by delivering compelling recommendations which directly results in the closing of new sale P artner closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Ensure revenue quota, deployment and service objectives are met while maintain a high level of prospect/customer satisfaction
  • Assist in the development of sales strategies and solutions to help ensure objectives are met
  • Provide follow-up suppo rt by disseminating technical information on specific applications
  • Research and write the responses to technical sections of RFI/RFP’s
  • Form relationships with client’s technical staff to identify new opportunities
  • Lead the gathering of architecture, design and presentation of solutions to meet the prospect’s needs
  • Drive and support pre-sales pilots, demonstrations, PoCs , evaluation and benchmarks
