About The Position

The Field Sales Consultant for Medical in Tulsa, Oklahoma is responsible for managing all field sales activities within a specific territory assignment. This role involves conducting face-to-face contact with every assigned account on a timely and periodic basis. The primary focus is on growing the account base by obtaining and onboarding new customers, as well as increasing sales within existing accounts. The position emphasizes capturing new business (80% of the time) and servicing existing business (20% of the time), with the actual percentage of time dedicated to these activities varying based on company needs and territory characteristics, including market share and consolidation.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Strong selling, communication, presentation, customer service, negotiation skills, and good telephone etiquette.

  • Sales experience helpful but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages a specific territory by increasing market share as a primary objective.
  • Cultivates and captures new accounts to increase market share.
  • Responds to customer concerns in a timely manner and communicates issues to appropriate Medical personnel departments.
  • Plans, organizes, and implements effective strategies using company programs and resources to increase market share.
  • Directs sales activities within the territory through coordination of team selling assets including Telesales, CEG, Mid Market SAM Team, and Up Market SAM Team.
  • Attends medical conventions/seminars and participates in training programs as instructed by management.
  • Cooperates with Medical personnel in executing company programs and corporate initiatives.
  • Maintains a high level of integrity and focuses on continuing education to enhance sales performance.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
