About The Position

Brandon & Clark is seeking a driven and technically skilled Field Sales Account Manager to join our Sales and Service team. This customer-facing role is ideal for individuals who excel at building relationships, identifying customer needs, and providing complete electro-mechanical and automation solutions. The Field Sales Account Manager will represent a wide range of products and services—including electric motors, drives, automation controls, compressors, and repair/service offerings. This role requires strong technical curiosity, professionalism, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering world-class customer service. The Field Sales Account Manager plays a key part in growing Brandon & Clark’s customer base while supporting long-term partnerships with existing clients.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through cold calls, site visits, networking, trade shows, and referrals.
  • Use CRM tools, market research, and manufacturer leads to develop a pipeline of qualified prospects.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Develop strategic plans for key accounts to support growth, retention, and long-term partnership.
  • Build strong understanding of electro-mechanical products, automation solutions, and related services.
  • Conduct site visits, assessments, and customer interviews to identify system requirements and pain points.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design customized solutions that align with customer needs.
  • Prepare and deliver professional proposals including pricing, specifications, documentation, and lead times.
  • Coordinate product demonstrations, often in partnership with OEM manufacturers.
  • Build trust-based relationships with procurement teams, maintenance personnel, and management.
  • Provide post-sale support, including updates on orders, troubleshooting, warranty follow-up, and coordination with internal departments.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including activities, quotes, pipeline stages, customer information, and forecasting.
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities.
  • Lead by example with professionalism, initiative, positive attitude, and strong communication.
  • Provide high-level customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a consultative selling approach.
  • Create and communicate value for the team.
  • Take ownership of tasks and embrace feedback as an opportunity for growth.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, standards, and advancements.
  • Obtain and maintain relevant certifications through OEM partners (e.g., ABB, Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
  • Research competing products and articulate key differentiators.
  • Analyze market data to prioritize territory coverage and route planning.
  • Submit accurate sales forecasts to support inventory planning and operational needs.
  • Provide weekly and monthly performance updates, including wins, obstacles, competitor activity, and recommendations.
  • Work closely with inside sales, service teams, warehouse personnel, and project coordinators to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across Brandon & Clark business units.
  • Participate in sales meetings, planning sessions, and manufacturer trainings.
