About The Position

We’re looking for a Field Safety Supervisor that will lead the execution of the company’s safety program on construction sites. Working under the guidance of the Safety Director, this role ensures that safety policies, procedures, and compliance measures are effectively carried out in the field. The Field Safety Manager serves as the on-site safety leader, driving accountability, fostering a proactive safety culture, and ensuring that risks are identified, controlled, and communicated.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing or leading safety initiatives on construction sites.
  • OSHA 30 required; additional certifications (COSS, COSM, CSP, CHST, OHST) preferred.
  • Experience with incident investigation, reporting, and corrective action planning.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Procore, and other construction technology platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving, risk assessment, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly to project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the company’s safety program across assigned jobsites.
  • Ensure all employees, subcontractors, and visitors follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Oversee site-specific safety plans, SWPPPs, return-to-work programs, and hazard control measures.
  • Conduct daily jobsite walkthroughs, focused inspections, and JSAs to reinforce compliance and field presence.
  • Participate in new-hire orientations, training programs, and safety events in the field.
  • Proactively assess and mitigate occupational hazards on-site.
  • Stop work if unsafe conditions or unacceptable risks are present.
  • Lead incident response efforts, including investigations, documentation, and corrective action implementation.
  • Support project leadership in addressing quality-control and safety-related issues.
  • Partner with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to integrate safety expectations into daily operations.
  • Coach and guide field personnel on safety compliance and best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between field teams and the Safety Director to ensure consistency across projects.
  • Represent safety leadership in field meetings with subcontractors, clients, and regulatory representatives.
  • Maintain project-specific safety logs, scorecards, and inspection reports.
  • Prepare trending reports and provide insights on recurring issues or risks
  • Communicate safety performance and progress to the Safety Director and project leadership
  • Track compliance metrics and recommend adjustments to strengthen field safety outcomes.
