About The Position

Ecology Auto Parts Inc. is looking to fill the role of a Field Safety Supervisor. This position is key in delivering and expanding on our safety culture & processes, and ensures that all our employees are working, driving and executing their work in a safe and healthy manner. As our Field Safety Supervisor, you will be driving all Safety agendas in a given territory, reporting to our Safety Operations Manager. This role is an Individual Contributor.

Requirements

  • Bi-lingual in Spanish (REQUIRED)
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and written in both languages
  • 2-4 years of OSHA and DOT experience required
  • 3-5 years of Safety experience in the Trucking/Transportation industry or waste & recycling industry
  • Must have the ability to oversee daily operations and activities of drivers as it relates to LYTX/DRIVE CAM/SAMSARA performance
  • This individual must be able to communicate day to day and long term needs of the fleet; requiring conversations, appointments and follow-up
  • This position requires experience in supervising and coaching others
  • This position requires the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal team members and external customers/vendors
  • This position required the ability to resolve effectively performance or service issues with management, supervisors and drivers
  • This position requires prioritization of tasks and effective time management skills
  • Must be technologically proficient and experienced in the Microsoft Office Suite of products, and able to be trained in other programs

Responsibilities

  • Drive cam FIELD supervisor/Coach responsible to conduct coaching sessions with drivers in the field, based on driver performance as related to LYTX/DRIVE CAM/SAMSARA data
  • Maintain or coordinate recordkeeping as related to LYTX/DRIVE CAM/SAMSARA performance
  • Assist Safety Manager/Drive cam manager with DRIVE CAM safety training and safety meetings
  • Facilitate or lead accurate and timely investigation of accidents and injuries; identify causes and determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future
  • Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations
  • Notify management of situations that may pose an immediate risk or danger to employees which represent serious exposure to employees, facilities and/or customers
  • Collect and report driver performance metrics and brief senior management regarding status of compliance
  • Ensure appropriate use of Personal Protection Equipment as required by the company
  • Monitor goals and targets related to LYTX/DRIVE CAM/SAMSARA metrics, including metrics related to incident reduction, liability reduction, and injury reduction
  • Provide timely investigation and reporting of accidents and injuries in the field
  • Facilitate coaching sessions with transportation supervisors, drivers and management as required
