Field Safety Representative
About The Position
Southwest Construction Services is a Texas-based construction company founded in 1993. We specialize in Sawing, Waterproofing, Concrete, Architectural Flooring, & Demolition. Southwest Construction is seeking an Entry-Level Safety Representative to join our team and support our commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in construction safety. This role will assist with promoting safety awareness, supporting jobsite safety efforts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and OSHA standards.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in a safety-focused role
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- 0-5 years of construction or safety-related experience
- OSHA 30 certification up to OSHA Course 500 (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to jobsites

- Bilingual in English & Spanish – Preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with conducting jobsite safety visits and audits
- Support safety meetings, toolbox talks, and new hire orientations
- Help identify and report unsafe conditions and behaviors
- Assist in accident and incident investigations and documentation
- Maintain and organize safety records, training logs, and reports
- Accompany safety inspections and walkthroughs when needed
- Help ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures
- Assist in developing and distributing jobsite safety plans
- Support communication between field employees and the safety team
- Promote a positive safety culture across all jobsites
