Field Safety Representative-Vegetation Management Industry
About The Position
Field Safety Representative Zielies Tree Service Inc., a leader in Vegetation Management Services, is currently seeking a Field Safety/Training Representative. Primary Focus: Provides leadership, direction, and support in the development and execution of an effective safety culture and programs. Monitors safety compliance with our established Health and Safety Management System. Training and evaluation of best practices in Vegetation Management Activities activity (Tree Trimming, Heavy Equipment Operation, Fleet Operation, etc. Document and investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses. Conducts Jobsite Inspections. Ensure compliance with all company and client safety expectations. Provide Emergency Response Support and Guidance More about the Job: This is a regional safety position that will cover our Monroe, LA and surrounding areas. Much of the time will be spent visiting various crews throughout the territory, completing safety inspections, or providing training and support as needed. This position is eligible for health insurance benefits, retirement savings, and paid training to further advance your knowledge and skills in the industry. Continual education safety training will be made available. A clean driving record and valid Driver's License is required.
Requirements
- Prior experience in Vegetation Management required, safety experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate and lead personnel in advancing the safety culture through an established Health and Safety Management System.
- Proven interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Well versed and comfortable on a computer.
- Proficient in Microsoft word and Excel and Average typing skills.
- A clean driving record and valid Driver's License is required.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Utility Safety Professional Credentials preferred
- Certified Tree care Safety Professional Credentials preferred.
- Degree, Diploma or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English Preferred.
