Founded in 1986, OnTrac has evolved into the leading provider of same-day and next-day delivery services in the U.S. for premier e-commerce and product-supply businesses, including five of the largest retailers in the U.S. The Field Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and procedures within an assigned region to minimize workplace accidents and injuries. This role conducts risk assessments, safety inspections, employee training, and incident investigations while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, proactive risk management, and the ability to foster a culture of safety across all levels of the organization.

  • Identify and mitigate risks: Conduct regular inspections and hazard assessments to proactively address potential safety issues.
  • Develop and enforce policies: Create and implement safety procedures that align with industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Educate and empower employees: Design and deliver training programs on safety practices, emergency procedures, and PPE usage.
  • Investigate and report incidents: Lead investigations into workplace accidents and regulatory inquiries, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor compliance and performance: Track safety metrics, analyze trends, and prepare reports to demonstrate effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred OR five years of related experience/training in safety or management
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • You communicate clearly and confidently, presenting information and responding to questions at all organizational levels.
