About The Position

The Field Safety Engineer is responsible for directing the safety program within the semiconductor facility by actively identifying, assessing, and reducing hazardous conditions. This position involves designing and evaluating strategies for hazard control, conducting investigations and audits, and managing corrective actions. Additionally, it includes providing specialized training and reporting to ensure adherence to regulatory and site standards. The role contributes to fostering a culture of continuous improvement in safety, ensuring that operations remain safe and compliant.

Requirements

  • >2+ years’ experience in Health and Safety performing similar tasks required
  • Bachelor of Science or MS in Safety, IH, Environmental Science, Engineering, or closely related field
  • Familiarity with OSHA Regulations (Construction and General Industry) and reporting guidelines

Nice To Haves

  • Preference for experience in General Industry at a semiconductor manufacturing (FAB) facility.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices during task performance at a semiconductor facility.
  • Develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs; and advise and educate others.
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control elements.
  • Evaluation of task performance to ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements.
  • Document and track results to support safety program elements.
  • Conduct incident investigations, site inspections, identify root cause, determine corrective actions, and support implementation.
  • Conduct employee training for education on site safety requirements.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with safety sub-committee.
  • Review and audit pre-task plans, site risk analyses and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with the daily management of the tiered auditing program including closure of facility’s preventative and corrective action plans.
