Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties) Complete all required or directed training, certification, licensing, and other learning and development as assigned. Abide by all Federal, State, and local laws; uphold and maintain accountability to all Company policy. Ensure all new and temporary construction employees are properly oriented, trained, certified, and documented on the safe operation of all equipment in the field. Audits and reviews field safety experience, processes, and procedures to ensure injury and incident rates are best in class and below target. Ensure that construction processes comply with occupational safety & health regulations as well as similar state, local, and corporate regulations. Routinely review policies and procedures as compared to practical application and recommend revision as necessary to meet current business needs and requirements. Continuously work with Construction staff to establish "best practice" procedures, standards, and systems related to safety. Identify future safety training needs, recommend or draft policies and SOPs, and prepare and deliver training as needed. Conduct initial safety investigations on all Near Misses, First Aid, and Recordable Injuries to determine root cause, recommend solutions or remediations where appropriate. Continuously monitor the field locations and build standards for hazardous safety and health conditions and ensure identified hazards are corrected, eliminated, or guarded. Assist in creating and maintaining training materials. Ensure the timely and accurate creation of all safety incident reports and investigations with proper submission to HR with appropriate follow-up to eliminate any future similar incidents. Audit field operations to verify compliance with EHS regulatory and corporate requirements. All other duties as assigned.
