About The Position

The field roustabout performs a variety of manual and medium to unskilled tasks required to support the Pikka development project. The roustabout will be required to operate power and hand tools, have a basic understanding of carpentry and general knowledge of equipment, including but not limited to general maintenance activities, transfer pumps & non-mobile equipment. The position will work in direct support of the Worley embedded field lead and general foreman. The position is located on the North Slope and requires a rotational work schedule. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided; however, transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Room and meals are provided while in Prudhoe Bay.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and the ability to be insured by Worley's auto insurer.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Construction, or prior north slope experience.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to identify and safely operate standard construction and maintenance hand and power tools.
  • Tend to pumps, compressors, generators to provide power for tools, machinery, and equipment, or to heat and move materials, lubricate machinery, equipment, and parts.
  • Erect and disassemble, shoring, braces, ramps, and other temporary structures.
  • Clean and prepare work areas to eliminate possible hazards.
  • Clean tools, equipment, machinery, and work areas.
  • Position, align, or level machines, equipment, or structures.
  • Perform manual labor including cleanup, 'stick-picking' shoveling, compacting, and backfilling excavations.
  • Provides assistance as directed for other work crew members.
  • Demonstrate support for company and client HSE management system.
  • Ability to complete a task hazard awareness assessment and administer mitigation to identified hazards.
