About The Position

Vermeer All Roads is seeking a skilled Field/Road Mechanic with Heavy Equipment experience to cover the eastern Virginia territory (Hampton Roads/Chesapeake). In this field-based role, you'll travel to customer sites to diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer machinery and components—completing work safely, professionally, and on time .

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Hands-on hydraulic and hydrostatic experience
Electrical troubleshooting experience
Welding experience
Ability to travel within assigned territory for field service calls
Excellent written/verbal communication and customer service skills
Positive attitude: ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Work Authorization Vermeer All Roads does not provide H-1B sponsorship.
No security clearance required.

Responsibilities

Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer equipment as directed by the Branch Service Manager
Diagnose malfunctions in hydraulic and electrical systems
Recommend appropriate repairs and prepare accurate estimates
Perform welding/fabrication as required
Apply current industry/technical advancements in daily work
Maintain accurate, detailed records of all repairs performed
Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance
Perform other duties as assigned
