About The Position

Ultromics is a leader in cardiovascular AI, helping hospitals and health systems deliver more precise and efficient cardiac care. As adoption accelerates, reimbursement has become one of the most important factors in customer success and long term utilization. The Field Reimbursement Manager will be the point person for hospitals navigating billing, coding, payer engagement and payment tied to CPT 0932T and future reimbursement pathways. This is a mission critical role that sits at the intersection of clinical workflow, revenue cycle and payer strategy. The Field Reimbursement Manager will be the face of Ultromics in supporting our customer’s revenue cycle and billing professionals to ensure they can successfully bill and collect reimbursement on EchoGo claims. You will work collaboratively with Ultromics’ Commercial and Marketing teams to create relevant educational materials and support the sales process by addressing customer’s coding and billing concerns. You will work directly with the customer during implementation to ensure compliant coding of EchoGo, educate them on applications of the codes and associated charges and payment, and provide support on prior authorization workflow and claims appeals. You will work with customers to identify payers who are denying claims and develop and execute plans to work with those payers to communicate our clinical and economic value and reduce denial rates. Requirements

  • Greater than 5 years of demonstrated work experience in coding and billing at a US hospital managing both Medicare and commercial claims
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required, Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) preferred; cardiology experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Outstanding knowledge of coding and billing in US healthcare system, including Medicare and commercial payers
  • Excellent communication skills and customer support attitude
  • Strong understanding of hospital billing and coding infrastructure, including EMR, billing system, and personnel involved
  • Ability to interpret coverage policies and medical necessity language to identify appropriate ICD-10 codes and medical records to submit claims

Responsibilities

  • Work with Marketing to create and disseminate educational materials around coding, billing, prior authorization and appeal
  • Support the Commercial team by addressing coding and billing concerns throughout the sales and implementation process
  • Conduct conference calls or travel onsite (sometime with short notice) to customers to educate on appropriate use of EchoGo® codes, billing scenarios, and best practices
  • Work with revenue cycle management both remotely and at customer sites to review claims and support appeals processes
  • Read and interpret medical records to align with medical policy language to ensure accurate submission of claims
  • Understand payer denial trends and work with customers and payers to provide clinical and economic support for the coverage of EchoGo® to reduce denial rates
  • Follow good information governance practice throughout this job role and ensure compliance with Ultromics’ information security and data protection policies in all applicable assigned tasks
