About the position

The EVERSANA/Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma America (MTPA) Field Reimbursement Manager is a field-based role that provides in-person education to defined accounts within their assigned geographies on a range of access and reimbursement issues in support of MTPA products. The territory includes Northern California, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. This position requires managing daily field-based activities to support appropriate patient access in key neurology centers and provider offices, executing collaborative territory plans through partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and interacting frequently in the field (60-70% of the time) with key stakeholders in multiple sites of care including physician practices and hospitals. The role also involves serving as a subject matter expert in educating healthcare provider staff on approved patient access services and collaborating with various internal field teams to ensure appropriate education in the assigned geography.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily field-based activities to support appropriate patient access in key neurology centers and provider offices.
  • Execute collaborative territory plan through partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interact frequently in the field (60-70% of the time) with key stakeholders in multiple sites of care.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in educating healthcare provider staff on approved patient access services.
  • Collaborate with various internal field teams to ensure appropriate education in assigned geography.
  • Review and educate offices on payer policy, such as prior authorization requirements.
  • Review patient-specific information in cases where the site has specifically requested assistance.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on local payer trends and access issues.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience with experience in payer policy and reimbursement.
  • Minimum of 3 years of benefit verifications and prior-authorization requirements experience or equivalent experience in patient access, billing, and coding in rare disease.
  • Knowledge of Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and processes with experience in Medicare Part D.
  • Self-direction coupled with strong organizational skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, consultative approach, and customer orientation.
  • Strong communication skills: oral, written, training/presentation.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Must be able to travel up to 60-70% domestically.
  • Valid driver’s license to drive to healthcare provider sites.
