About The Position

The Field Quality Specialist at Nissan is a pivotal role aimed at enhancing vehicle quality and supporting the transition to a Field Quality Manager position. This position involves analyzing field data, investigating vehicle quality issues, and collaborating with dealership technicians to ensure high standards of automotive quality management. The specialist will gain hands-on experience in quality assurance processes while contributing to the overall improvement of Nissan's vehicle offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or automotive-related discipline preferred, or equivalent years of experience will be considered.
• 5 or more years of directly related experience, preferably in a quality organization.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics and automotive systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior direct experience supporting Field Quality Engineering.
• Prior direct experience engaging with Dealerships on issue investigation.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• MVR required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing warranty repair orders to identify emerging quality issues.
• Support investigations of top vehicle quality concerns by visiting various Nissan dealerships.
• Utilize connected car data for vehicle analysis.
• Collaborate with dealer technicians to understand and diagnose vehicle issues.
• Assist in writing technical reports based on investigations and findings.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to Field Quality Engineers.
• Support engineering scramble activities at dealerships and ports.
• Identify new emerging issues and quickly feedback to engineering.
• Work with dealership staff and personnel to make quick, appropriate decisions.
• Support Part Return for engineering and supplier investigations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Nissan vehicles and quality standards.
