About The Position

The Field Property Claims Adjuster at Liberty Mutual Insurance is responsible for investigating and resolving homeowner claims by utilizing investigative, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. This role involves traveling to loss sites to conduct thorough investigations, evaluate coverage, and prepare repair estimates, all while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of claims handling procedures and operations.

• Computer skills with the ability to work with multi-faceted systems.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least 1 year of directly related experience.
• Ability to obtain proper licensing as required.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate onsite to resolve complex coverage and damage issues.
• Prepare complete estimates of repair for covered damages, including accessing roofs and inspecting attics, crawl spaces, and basements.
• Handle moderate to complex claims independently from first notice of loss to final closure.
• Explain coverage of loss and assist policyholders with itemization of damages, emergency repairs, and additional living arrangements.
• Coordinate with vendor services such as contractors and emergency repair services.
• May be called upon for catastrophe duty.
