Construction Engineering and Inspection Our Construction Engineering and Inspection team plays a critical role in turning plans into reality; safely, on time, and within budget. Summary The Field Project Representative 5 is responsible for a wide range of construction observation, administrative duties, and documentation during the construction phase of projects. Due to the field nature of this position, applicants must have the ability to travel away from their home location for extended periods of time to work on-site at construction projects. The position may also require night shift and/or weekend work as necessary. This position includes, but is not limited to, interpreting contract plans and specifications, observing and inspecting work performed by contractors to evaluate compliance with contract documents, note taking and documentation, preparation of pay requests and record keeping. The person in this position may also assist other Construction Engineering and Inspection staff with responding to requests for information, change orders and other field/construction administrative duties as needed.

  • Leads technical client project meetings.
  • Understands appropriate messaging and legal risks.
  • Participates in project interviews.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to create and interpret graphs and understand statistical analysis.

  • valid driver’s license is required to support legitimate business purposes
  • Years of experience required: 10 years
  • Years of experience required with advanced degree: 9 years

Responsibilities

  • Leads the production of and provides quality control for the following: Daily construction reports and project documentation Submittal reviews and RFI responses In-service inspection reports Construction Time Estimates (CTEs) Change order support documents (force account process)
