About The Position

1) CORE ROLE DEFINITION (WHAT YOU ARE ACCOUNTABLE FOR) a) Primary Function i) Serve as a full-time embedded Project Manager supporting IT Physical Security systems (Access Control and Video Surveillance) across North Carolina sites ii) Operate as a hybrid resource representing both Convergint and the customer (Corning) b) Scope Ownership i) End-to-end project lifecycle management for: (1) Access Control Systems (2) Video Surveillance Systems ii) Maintain system continuity, standardization, and operational integrity 2) OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES (DAY-TO-DAY EXPECTATIONS) a) Project & Field Execution i) Manage ongoing and new security system projects ii) Coordinate: (1) Installations (2) Upgrades (3) Repairs (4) Expansions iii) Ensure alignment with: (1) Production environment constraints (minimal or no downtime) (2) Security standards and compliance requirements b) Subcontractor & Vendor Management i) Coordinate and manage subcontractors performing security technology work ii) Oversee: (1) Scope execution (2) Quality control (3) Schedule adherence (4) Manage vendor relationships (service providers) c) Stakeholder Interface (Critical Function) i) Act as the central communication hub between: (1) Corning Global Security (2) Convergint (3) Architects / Engineers (4) General Contractors / Project Teams ii) Serve as: (1) Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all security-related requests (2) Decision facilitator for field and design issues d) Information & Request Management i) Manage: (1) RFIs (Requests for Information) (2) Design clarifications (3) Field coordination issues (4) Ensure accurate and timely communication across all stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a full-time embedded Project Manager supporting IT Physical Security systems (Access Control and Video Surveillance) across North Carolina sites
  • Operate as a hybrid resource representing both Convergint and the customer (Corning)
  • End-to-end project lifecycle management for Access Control Systems and Video Surveillance Systems
  • Maintain system continuity, standardization, and operational integrity
  • Manage ongoing and new security system projects
  • Coordinate Installations, Upgrades, Repairs, and Expansions
  • Ensure alignment with Production environment constraints (minimal or no downtime) and Security standards and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors performing security technology work
  • Oversee Scope execution, Quality control, and Schedule adherence
  • Manage vendor relationships (service providers)
  • Act as the central communication hub between Corning Global Security, Convergint, Architects / Engineers, and General Contractors / Project Teams
  • Serve as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all security-related requests and Decision facilitator for field and design issues
  • Manage RFIs (Requests for Information), Design clarifications, and Field coordination issues
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication across all stakeholders
