This position is a Manager/Specialist role assigned to either Project Controls Management, Department Leadership, Cost Specialist or Planning Specialist, with supervisory/lead responsibility over a group of project controls personnel or functions as a technical specialist who develops advanced concepts.

Requirements

  • Four-year Bachelor's degree with ten or more years of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience, or no four-year Bachelor's degree required with twelve years or more of relevant experience.
  • Prefer Master's degree or local equivalent in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Experience serving in a Leadership role for a medium- to large-sized EPC project in both Home Office and Field preferred.
  • Prefer certificate from either PMI or AACE.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a construction site environment.
  • Ability to work at heights above 5 feet and climb and maintain balance on stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of Project Controls (PJC) professionals and positively influences internal and external clients on complex and high-risk projects.
  • Collaborates with the project management leadership team.
  • Identifies process improvements and leads project risk and change management.
  • Drives department initiatives and ensures implementation of PJC procedures & tools.
  • Ensures transparent project health visibility to the business and escalates project issues to PJC Leadership.
  • Identifies and confirms successful staffing of projects and proposals.
  • Provides staff with development opportunities and coaching for career advancement.
  • Recognized as an expert in a project controls specialist area and leads project deep dives & PJC gate approvals.
