Corteva has an exciting opportunity for a Production Specialist to join our team at our Toledo and Reinbeck, Iowa Production facilities!

Requirements

  • You love agriculture and you are passionate about playing your part in seeding and feeding the world!

  • Overtime hours including weekend and shift work as required during peak seasons.
  • Knowledge and experience working with corn, soybean, and wheat strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-Year Technical or Associates Degree in Agriculture, Operations, Manufacturing, or related field
  • General knowledge and/or experience with field and agriculture equipment (plows, tractor, feeder, etc.)
  • Knowledge or experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Continuous Improvement and Standardized Work

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of tasks associated with field activities that will evolve with each season throughout the year.
  • Provide support and guidance to 3rd party contract conditioners.
  • Complete data entry as required.
  • Prepare required documentation for sample processing and shipping.
  • Field Mapping support for multiple crops and production areas.
  • Generate and monitor P.O.’s for 3rd party contract conditioners and provide support with packaging and labeling requirements.
  • Perform administrative procedures, along with all procedures associated with field activities.
  • Field responsibilities may include assisting growers with planting, IPM, detasseling coordination, and harvest troubleshooting.
  • Ability to help train a diverse group of growers and employees on seed field processes and expectations.
  • Involved in the analysis of data collected from digital agronomy tools and strategies.
  • Manage various projects throughout the course of the growing season.
