About The Position

The Field Preventative Maintenance Technician Apprentice performs field service inspections and general preventative maintenance based on customer service agreements. On the job training, classroom instruction, and e-learning will ensure that skills remain current. The Technician will demonstrate initiative, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding solutions in an efficient manner. They must be committed to safety standards and champion a healthy and safe work environment while consistently representing Blanchard in a professional manner. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must pass Blanchard Machinery Criteria Assessment Tool.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and proper repair procedures.
  • Able to read and interpret maintenance service manuals preferred.
  • Working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems.
  • Ability to operate lifting devices.
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment
  • Familiarization of electronic cables, connections, and sensors.
  • A demonstrated commitment to accuracy, organization and ability to prioritize tasks is required.
  • Meet Company Driver Qualifications policy.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience on CAT equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of BMC.
  • Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Perform comprehensive oil, filter, and lubrication services, including checking and filling fluid levels to O.E.M. specifications, and refueling as requested by the customer.
  • Adhere to all documented Customer Service Agreement processes and guidelines.
  • Inspect equipment for external signs of potential component failure.
  • Inspect and report any inoperable safety devices or conditions.
  • Maintain detailed lube records for all work performed.
  • Ensures total customer service.
  • Attend all technical classes and complete all apprenticeship assessments.
  • Engage in both academic and practical assessments to demonstrate skill development.
  • Other duties as assigned.
