About The Position

The Field Operator - CO2 position involves operating production wells, injection wells, and test facilities safely and in compliance with regulatory agency guidelines and corporate policies. The role requires collaboration with field operators, operations technicians, surveillance engineers, and supervision to ensure a comprehensive understanding of field operations. The operator will work with central battery operators to achieve pressure and volume targets, collect readings, and interface with other area operators. Responsibilities also include assisting in isolation tasks, repairs, and maintenance on all field operations equipment, ensuring quality information is recorded and distributed, maintaining all assigned facilities, troubleshooting injection and production wells, and adhering to company policies and procedures with a strong emphasis on safety and achieving zero incidents.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • 1 to 5 years minimum experience operating in the oil and gas industry.
  • Operational knowledge of CO2 EOR field operations.
  • Good communication and organization skills.
  • Pass company required background and drug testing requirements.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
  • Ability to work with a team and take direction from supervisors and keep required work schedules.
  • Work on call schedule and overtime.
  • Respond to call outs within 30 minutes.
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision and follow work rules and policies.
  • Lift 50 pounds safely.
  • Work outside in varying weather conditions.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and punctual.
  • Communicate all safety hazards in a timely manner.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of working tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous training in lockout-tagout process.
  • Previous training in H2S.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality information is being recorded and distributed.
  • Maintain all assigned facilities.
  • Troubleshoot injection and production wells as problems are found.
  • Follow all company Policies and Procedures without deviation.
  • Maintain a mindset for SAFETY and achieving zero incidents.
