About The Position

Ferguson Roofing & Exteriors, an 86-year family-owned company, is seeking a reliable and hardworking Field Helper to support our production, installation, and warehouse teams. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and staying active throughout the day. You will work closely with project managers, installation crews, technicians, and suppliers to ensure our jobs run smoothly and our customers receive the highest level of service.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
• Ability to lift 50–80 pounds and work in varying outdoor conditions.
• Comfortable working at heights and using ladders safely.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
• Dependable, organized, and able to manage time efficiently.

Nice To Haves

• Previous roofing, construction, or warehouse experience is a plus but not required, training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Adapt and respond to the constantly evolving needs of projects, crews, and daily operations.
• Climb and use ladders or scaffolding frequently to access roofs, exteriors, and elevated work areas safely.
• Communicate regularly with customers, installation crews, and Ferguson team members through phone, text, email, and in-person interactions.
• Notify your supervisor promptly of any changes in schedule, job progress, or exterior department needs.
• Perform post-installation job site visits to review workmanship, identify any issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Pick up, source, and deliver materials to job sites; haul extra materials back to suppliers; and safely operate standard and dump-bed trailers as needed.
• Support other departments when directed by management, promoting collaboration across the company.
• Assist our technicians onsite, working alongside them to provide help where needed.
• Help determine warehouse inventory needs and maintain a clean, organized warehouse and yard area.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management to support overall department and company operations
