About The Position

Pape’ Machinery, a premier capital equipment dealer in the West, is seeking a Field Mechanic to join their team in Quincy, WA. As a Field Mechanic, the role involves working on agriculture equipment at customer locations to ensure accurate and timely repairs, maximizing customer uptime and equipment performance.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, preferably Agriculture equipment
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Self-motivation
  • Ability to work under little or no supervision
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills
  • Driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Must provide own tools

Nice To Haves

  • CDL preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and diagnose agriculture equipment malfunctions or failures in the field
  • Repair, replace or rebuild engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components including pump motors, valves, and all related components, electrical systems, and air systems
  • Perform welding and fabrication work at times
  • Perform top-notch work on equipment
  • Interact with customers
