About The Position

The Field Mechanic (Fixed Asset Maintenance - Batch Plants) will be responsible for scheduled maintenance of batch plants in commercial and industrial settings. They will work independently or as part of a team to ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry and company standards.

Requirements

Knowledge of batch plant functions and operation.
Familiarity with a variety of batch plants and equipment.
Basic understanding of plumbing, pipe fitting and fabrication.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, if required.
Valid driver's license.
DOT medical card.
Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.

Responsibilities

Support, improve and standardize batch plants.
Install and repair components related to batch plant operations.
Perform scheduled maintenance on batch plant systems to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems and provide solutions.
Read and interpret batch plant schematics and blueprints.
Participate in the teardown and setup of batch plants.
Keep up to date with industry codes and standards and ensure compliance in all work.
Collaborate with other trades professionals, such as HVAC technicians or plumbers, as needed.
Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide recommendations.
Train and mentor less experienced team members, as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety protocols and procedures.
