About The Position

Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking an experienced Field Marketing Specialist 2 for Embry Riddle Aeronautical University located in Daytona Beach, FL. We are seeking a creative and organized Promotions and Event Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of marketing events to enhance the university's brand and engage with our community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for event management and a strong background in marketing. Sodexo provides college campuses with food, nutrition, environmental, and facilities management solutions. Joining us at one of our campus sites enables you to positively influence college students' well-being and create a healthy learning environment. This is an on-site role with an as business event needs schedule.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience in event planning and marketing, preferably within an educational or non-profit setting.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Creativity: Innovative thinker with the ability to develop engaging event concepts and marketing strategies.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including faculty, staff, and external partner
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Functional Experience: 2 years

Responsibilities

  • Event Planning and Coordination: Lead the planning and execution of university events, including conferences, open houses, alumni gatherings, and promotional events.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Collaborate with vendors, sponsors, and university departments to ensure successful event execution.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote events, utilizing various channels such as social media, email, and print.
  • On-Site Event Management: Oversee all on-site event activities, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Budget Management: Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Post-Event Analysis: Conduct post-event evaluations to measure success and gather insights for future improvements.
