About The Position

Overview We are seeking a Field Service Manager to support commissioning and startup activities for a large, multi-phase data center project in Claude, Texas. This individual will serve as the on-site lead, acting as the 'eyes on the ground' to ensure field operations stay on track, issues are addressed quickly, and commissioning efforts remain ahead of schedule. This is a high-impact role with potential for long-term involvement as the project continues to expand. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary on-site liaison between field operations and project leadership Provide day-to-day oversight of site activities, ensuring work is progressing on schedule and aligned with commissioning milestones Coordinate field teams (currently 4 personnel with varying experience levels) to drive consistency, accountability, and performance Stay ahead of commissioning activities by proactively identifying risks, gaps, and scheduling conflicts Support and coordinate completion of test reports and commissioning checklists Assist with troubleshooting equipment during Level 2 temporary power checks Identify and help resolve quality issues related to equipment and installation Participate in energization and commissioning meetings, including those conducted through CXAlloy Coordinate and support Level 3, Level 4, and Level 5 / IST commissioning activities alongside the Commissioning Agent Maintain clear communication across stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution and progress tracking Qualifications Experience in field management, commissioning, or startup-ideally within data centers or mission-critical environments Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage teams of varying experience levels Working knowledge of commissioning processes (L2-L5) Ability to balance oversight with light hands-on troubleshooting when needed Strong attention to detail, particularly around quality control and issue resolution Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving construction/commissioning environment #INDW

Requirements

  • Experience in field management, commissioning, or startup-ideally within data centers or mission-critical environments
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage teams of varying experience levels
  • Working knowledge of commissioning processes (L2-L5)
  • Ability to balance oversight with light hands-on troubleshooting when needed
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly around quality control and issue resolution
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving construction/commissioning environment
