About The Position

Tri Star Energy is currently seeking an experienced, dedicated, and qualified Refrigeration Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Maintenance team in our Store Support Center in Nashville, TN . This position will spend most of the time in the field following up on maintenance tickets and repairing equipment, so no need to live too close. The Refrigeration Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing required and preventative maintenance at company stores and facilities in a professional and timely manner. Performs repairs and maintains commercial refrigeration systems, along with minor plumbing and electrical duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in refrigeration service and repair
  • Refrigeration Certification
  • Understanding of facility spacing
  • Valid state-issued Driver's' License.
  • Willingness to travel daily to assigned stores and facilities.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations which may include after normal operating hours and/or weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial Refrigeration Certification
  • Prior experience with C-Store and/or retail facility maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Visually inspects and tests machines, systems, and equipment.
  • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors and/or other maintenance technicians to diagnose problems and repair equipment.
  • Removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines.
  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts and motors and adjusts as needed.
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatuses such as transformers, wiring, and electrical components of machinery and equipment.
  • Replaces and/or repairs machine belts.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment, including painting, plumbing, and general building upkeep.
  • Performs all work to industry standards complying with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and Company directives related to building operations.
  • Follows safe work habits and cleans up area after completing maintenance and/or repairs.
