About The Position

Mark IV Enterprises is seeking an experienced Field Maintenance Technician to support and lead maintenance operations across our diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. This hands-on role is ideal for a highly skilled, self-motivated professional with strong multi-trade expertise who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork. The Field Maintenance Technician works closely with the Field Operations Manager to inspect properties, perform repairs, coordinate work priorities, and help guide maintenance staff to ensure our communities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained year-round.

Requirements

  • Masonry: Ability to repair and construct walls, walkways, and other structures using brick, stone, and concrete.
  • Asphalt: Proficiency in repairing and maintaining asphalt surfaces, including driveways and parking lots.
  • Tile: Skilled in installing and repairing various types of tile, including ceramic, porcelain, and stone.
  • Plumbing: Knowledge of plumbing systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance of pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Electrical: Understanding of electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures.
  • Carpentry: Ability to perform carpentry work, including framing, drywall installation, and finish work.
  • Snow and Ice Management: Experience in snow removal and ice control to ensure safe property conditions during winter.
  • Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Work with Field Operations Manager to plan and schedule maintenance and repair work, ensuring timely completion.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance in areas such as masonry, asphalt, tile, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Manage snow and ice removal operations to ensure safe property conditions during winter months.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Provide training and guidance for maintenance staff.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
