About The Position

The Field Maintenance Auditor is responsible for evaluating, verifying, and improving the quality, safety, and compliance of maintenance activities performed across Profrac facilities, locations and pad sites. This role ensures that maintenance teams follow established procedures, SOP’s, and regulatory requirements. The Field Maintenance Auditor provides detailed assessments, identifies gaps, recommends corrective actions, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational performance.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or field operations.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or fracturing equipment.
  • Experience with CMMS systems (Fracttal, NAV).
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to guide and influence field teams.
  • Ability to travel frequently to field sites.
  • Ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to adhere to process protocol
  • Strong work ethics of integrity and honesty striving for excellence in all activities employing accompanying communication.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance audits of maintenance activities, equipment condition, and work documentation.
  • Verify adherence to company Maintenance Standards, Technical Bulletin, Work Instructions, OEM guidelines, and Regulatory Compliance requirements.
  • Review preventive and corrective maintenance work orders for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Ensure proper use of tools, materials, safety protocols, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Assess equipment condition and performance against expected reliability benchmarks.
  • Inspects Preventative Maintenance for on time completion and thoroughness.
  • Identify early signs of equipment failure, improper repairs, or recurring issues.
  • Provide recommendations to improve asset health and reduce downtime.
  • Prepare audit reports summarizing findings, observations, and risk assessments.
  • Track corrective actions and validate follow-up activities.
  • Maintain audit history, scoring, compliance metrics, and trend analysis.
  • Coach field technicians on maintenance best practices and quality standards.
  • Identify training gaps and provide input for skill-development programs.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Asset Management, and Operations to improve processes.
  • Recommend updates to SOPs, checklists, and inspection standards.
