About The Position

Lubrication and servicing of Mobile Mining Equipment, Light Vehicles, Support and Auxiliary Equipment.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of shop, field preventive maintenance process, and field fueling procedures.
  • Applicant must have good communications skills (oral and written).
  • Must be able to manage time effectively and set priorities.
  • Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and troubleshoot problems.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Availability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays (shifts may be rotating, operations are 24/7/365).
  • Ability to work in adverse climate/temperature environment.
  • Ability to wear respirator in conditions of fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Is expected to maintain tools of the trade, equipment work and work areas in a neat orderly, safe and healthful condition
  • Must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must have one to three months related experience and/or training.
  • The job requires training or instruction in the area of environmental Awareness.
  • This job requires training or instruction in the area of Safety & Health awareness including completion of the appropriate OSHA and/or MSHA training.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of preventive and predictive maintenance (procedures, forms, checklists, etc.)
  • Maintain and repair oil dispensing equipment ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness.
  • Capable of identifying different types of fluids and understanding proper capacities
  • Operate various mine equipment to move for servicing.
  • Utilize knowledge of all service points and their locations for lubrication oils, grease points, filters, and breathers on mine equipment, such Liebherr, caterpillar and Komatsu mine equipment.
  • Troubleshoot fluid contamination concerns including viscosity and contamination concerns.
  • Ability to identify petroleum products for proper usage and disposal.
  • Knowledge of procedures and positioning for checking fluid levels on all mine equipment.
  • Knowledge of oil sampling and coolant analysis.
  • Must meet required tool list for Lubeman.
