About The Position

Field Lead - Residential Home Performance Program Location: Wilmington, DE (Hybrid/Remote – Home Office with Local Office Travel) Are you ready to make a difference? Develop and Manage contractor networks and field teams to ensure high-quality delivery of residential Home Performance projects, driving participation and energy savings outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in (Energy, Business, Communications, Sciences, Environmental or related fields)(candidates can substitute one year of experience for each year of education)
  • Must be located or willing to relocate to the state of Delaware
  • 5+ years of experience with residential energy efficiency or HPwES programs
  • 3+ years of experience with the ability to analyze program data and field inspection outcomes.
  • BPI Building Analyst Professional Certification
  • Must be able to pass a background check and an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record Check)

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience in leading outreach teams and conducting outreach to decision makers and stakeholders to identify energy efficiency project opportunities in commercial and multifamily properties.
  • Excellent communication and ability to present
  • Knowledge of HVAC, building envelope, and whole‑home performance.
  • Strong communication and contractor relationship‑building skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of commercial energy efficiency in Delaware.
  • Experience in the energy industry
  • Experience in B2B outside sales
  • Experience working in or managing a trade ally/service provider network
  • Certified Energy Manager or BPI credentials
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Familiarity with energy and environmental metrics/KPIs (kWh, therms, BTUs, MTCO2, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, establish relationships, and support residential HVAC, insulation, and home‑performance contractors.
  • Conduct outreach via field visits, presentations, and contractor engagement.
  • Support program events and stakeholder outreach
  • Oversee field verification teams ensuring program compliance and installation quality.
  • Coordinate QA/QC inspections, remediation needs, and customer‑facing issues.
  • Track market conditions and contractor performance to improve program outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal program leadership, operations, and marketing teams.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are between 20% to 60% of the time. (reimbursement for mileage provided)
