Field Interviewer
About The Position
Vital Research is seeking Field Interviewers in the state of Michigan to serve as independent contractors to conduct in-person interviews with older adults in our PACE survey projects that aim to improve participant satisfaction. This project will start with mandatory hybrid training the week of May 25th , where Field Interviewers receive instructions on how to conduct interviews. The project will span seven to nine weeks in duration. Once interviewers successfully pass training, they become part of a team responsible for interviewing throughout the state of Michigan. Work during the project may not be continuous, depending on the availability of interview assignments.
Requirements
- The ability to read, write, and fluently communicate in English/Spanish preferred.
- Comfort with traveling to different adult day care centers across the state of Michigan.
- Comfort interacting with older adults and demonstrating concern and sensitivity to issues of disability, illness, and communication challenges.
- Strong organization, time management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate skillfully and in a timely manner via email and phone.
- Proficient with email, uploading/downloading files, Internet use, and troubleshooting possible technical glitches.
- Personal computer (or other selected devices) with access to view and modify MS Excel and access the internet.
- A personal phone and reliable wireless Internet.
- Ability to read, type, and record responses accurately.
- Ability to follow structured protocols to comply with confidentiality and federal HIPAA regulations.
- Adhere to a business casual dress code and other personal requirements.
- Reliable transportation with valid driver license/automobile insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with older adults, nursing homes, assisted living, or adult daycare centers preferred.
- Interviewing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews with participants while at the day center.
- Be punctual, work independently, and remain unbiased when conducting interviews.
- Keep organized records of interviews and update the Vital Research team daily (e.g., completed interviews and refusals, etc.).
- Build positive relationships with customers and comprehend customer feedback.
- Using company issued tablet device to conduct 10-15 minute in-person interviews in an atmosphere of privacy.
- Utilize personal cell phone and email address to regularly be in touch with Vital Research.
- Comply with confidentiality, federal HIPAA regulations, and adhere to data security requirements.
- Be available between 8:30 am to 5:00 pm during assignments. Actual hours worked will vary.
