The Job We’re looking for a Field Intelligence Representative, an integral part of our sales process, to join our Chicago office. This position is responsible for driving top-of-funnel growth by conducting in-person outreach across commercial facilities within PEC’s target markets. The role focuses on identifying high-potential opportunities through strategic field canvassing and delivering actionable market intelligence that supports the sales team’s outbound efforts. This position has a base salary of $50,000 and an expected first-year OTE of $85,000. This position includes frequent (60%) nationwide travel. When not travelling, this is an in-person role out of our Chicago Office.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A proven track record of strong sales experience is required; experience in lead-generation roles is preferred.
  • A valid, insurable driver's license is required.
  • PEC is not able to provide sponsorship for work visas.
  • All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-person field canvassing (3+ days/week) within assigned territories to identify, qualify, and engage new opportunities in commercial and industrial spaces.
  • Manage travel and administrative time (2+ days/week) to include travel territory planning, research, and CRM hygiene to ensure accurate and actionable market data.
  • Generate and submit qualified leads through established processes, providing clear documentation and insights for future sales activity.
  • Collaborate closely with the Business Development team to convert qualified leads into introductory meetings and active sales opportunities.
  • Uphold CRM discipline by logging activity, notes, and supporting artifacts (photos/cards) in a timely and organized manner.
  • Share territory intelligence, including access insights, market trends, and high-opportunity areas, to refine future canvassing efforts.
  • Represent PEC with professionalism, adhering to company safety standards and embodying brand values in all field interactions.
  • Prepare concise reports on canvassing outcomes, expenses, and other relevant business activities as required.
  • Demonstrate reliability, collaboration, and responsiveness within the team, maintaining open communication and adaptability to direction.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support team objectives and organizational growth.
  • Frequent nationwide travel (60%).
