Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) from an accredited educational institution; will consider combination of education and experience.
  • Ideally, 5+ years in pipeline operations, laboratory, or refinery environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Strong understanding of petroleum testing methods and data interpretation.
  • Proficiency with LIMS, industry-specific databases, and MS Office.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and training capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field of science from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid TWIC card.
  • Experience in refining or specialty chemical industries.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification or similar process improvement expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 technical support for instrument maintenance and repair, coordinating service calls as needed.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for quality assurance equipment.
  • Train field operations personnel on new benchtop equipment for pipeline testing.
  • Manage work authorizations with service providers and oversee Statistical Quality Control testing per ASTM D6299.
  • Stay current on ASTM, EPA, and OSHA specifications governing petroleum product testing.
