Bosch Building Technologies Integrator Business The regional system integration business called Bosch Building Technologies offers solutions and customized services for building security, energy efficiency, and building automation for commercial buildings and infrastructure projects Bosch started its Integrator Business in North America through the acquisition of Climatec in 2015. Climatec expanded Bosch’s role as a comprehensive supplier of energy, building automation and security solutions. Climatec is recognized in the building industry as an independent single-source integrator of critical building systems including energy services, building automation and security & life safety in the U.S. market. The company provides consulting, planning, implementation and 24/7 remote management. Job Summary: The Low-Voltage Security Installer supports the installation, cabling, and commissioning of security and special systems, including conduit, devices, and low-voltage infrastructure across construction sites. This role works closely with lead installers to interpret drawings, ensure quality and safety standards, assist with troubleshooting and startup activities, and maintain accurate as-built documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1+ years’ experience with low-voltage security systems or 1 year of low voltage audio or intercom installations experience.
  • 1+ years' experience working as an electrician or electrician's helper to further understand electrical symbols and readings.
  • 1+ years' experience bending EMT 3/4 conduit and/or bending wire.
  • 1+ years' experience working on construction sites or high mechanical environments using your hands to build or install manual or electronic devices.
  • Having a strong mechanical aptitude makes you a strong candidate for this role.
  • An understanding of basic computer operation.
  • An understanding of the construction industry including safety, electrical codes, blueprints, etc.
  • Have a valid driving license.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years’ experience with low-voltage security systems or any years of low voltage audio or intercom installations experience.
  • 2+ years' experience working with CCTV, access control experience.
  • 2+ years' experience bending EMT 3/4 conduit and/or bending wire.
  • 1+ year of experience working in the building automation systems or security and life safety industry as an installer.
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam or PlanGrid for viewing and "redlining" digital blueprints on a tablet.
  • Current Arial Lift certification or other manufacturers certifications.
  • A clear ability to work with electrical equipment such as volt meters, amp meters, audio meters, etc.
  • The ability to troubleshoot basic electric circuitry including reading and interpreting electrical, control, and special system diagrams.
  • A working understanding of low voltage DC circuitry including transformers, fuses, breakers, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Install 3/4 EMT conduit, cabling, and low-voltage security devices.
  • Work closely with Lead Installers and other team members to ensure that installations meet safety standards and client specifications.
  • Pay attention to detail and adhere to timelines.
  • Deliver high-quality construction services that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Understand construction practices and follow safety protocols diligently.
  • Use tools and equipment effectively, requiring both technical skills and a commitment to safety. Attention to detail is critical, as installers must ensure that all materials are installed correctly and meet quality standards.
  • Interpret Climatec’s and other’s drawings to productively install low-voltage security installations.
  • Support installation personnel on project sites.
  • Assist as required troubleshooting efforts during either the static or dynamic start up or commissioning of low-voltage security and special systems.
  • Assist in preparing of As-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
  • Provide up-to-date As-built information as required including locations for sensors, panels, database, code, etc.
  • An understanding of basic computer operation.
  • An ability to understand empathetically the issues and perceptions others have and to creatively and successfully work through these issues to achieve a successful outcome and customer and employee satisfaction.
