About The Position

Lerch Bates is hiring a Field Inspector to bring in-depth elevator knowledge and provide an essential service for the company. The field inspector will manage their own schedule to ensure all inspections and subsequent reports are complete in a timely manner. This position may be a part-time, contingent position and is not currently eligible for benefits. Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of the installation and maintenance of the conveyance equipment and current elevator code.
  • Previous experience in the Elevator industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • An ability to pay strong attention to thoroughly inspect the equipment
  • An ability to work on top of high-rise buildings and elevator shafts

Nice To Haves

  • QEI/CEI certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete field surveys for all moving conveyances that transport people and/or items. This includes but is not limited to elevators, escalators, man-lifts, wheelchair lifts, and dumbwaiters.
  • Complete all subsequent reports following inspections.
  • Manage your own schedule to ensure inspections and subsequent reports are completed on time and in a courteous manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
