About The Position

Lerch Bates is hiring a Field Inspector to bring in-depth elevator knowledge and provide an essential service for the company. The field inspector will manage their own schedule to ensure all inspections and subsequent reports are complete in a timely manner. This position may be a part-time, contingent position and is not currently eligible for benefits. Requirements

Thorough knowledge of the installation and maintenance of the conveyance equipment and current elevator code.
Previous experience in the Elevator industry
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
An ability to pay strong attention to thoroughly inspect the equipment
An ability to work on top of high-rise buildings and elevator shafts

Nice To Haves

QEI/CEI certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete field surveys for all moving conveyances that transport people and/or items. This includes but is not limited to elevators, escalators, man-lifts, wheelchair lifts, and dumbwaiters.
Complete all subsequent reports following inspections.
Manage your own schedule to ensure inspections and subsequent reports are completed on time and in a courteous manner.
Other duties as assigned.
