ADA Engineering, a GHD company, is looking to hire a Field Inspector to work on Miami-Dade County projects consisting of roadway, drainage and traffic signal improvements. In this role, you’ll work very closely with our engineers and construction managers, ensuring every detail meets the highest standards and aligns with project plans. Your work will help shape safer, smarter infrastructure for the community. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Personal Capability Building: Develop and maintain excellent procedural or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Operational Compliance: Develop working knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to own work, adhering to mandatory procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the required standards. Work Scheduling and Allocation: Organize own work schedule each day in line with changing priorities. Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the well-being of self and others. Equipment Maintenance and Repair : Carry out standard maintenance and repair activities under detailed guidance. Troubleshoot basic technical or operational problems by applying previously defined solutions. Quality Assurance: Carry out relatively simple testing and quality assurance tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience working on roadway and drainage projects
  • Proficiency in issuing daily reports electronically utilizing Microsoft 365
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate quantities and detailed description of completed construction activities

Nice To Haves

  • CTQP certifications in Maintenance of Traffic, Asphalt Paving Levels 1 & 2, Earthwork Levels 1 & 2, and Concrete Field Technician are preferred
