About The Position

The Field Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications by conducting thorough on-site inspections across various locations within the United States. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to identify potential issues, document findings accurately, and communicate effectively with project managers and stakeholders to facilitate timely resolutions. The Field Inspector contributes to maintaining high-quality standards and operational efficiency by verifying that materials, workmanship, and processes meet established criteria. Ultimately, the Field Inspector helps safeguard public safety and project integrity through diligent oversight and reporting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience in field inspection, construction, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to the industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Certification in field inspection or quality control (e.g., Certified Construction Inspector, OSHA Safety Certification).
  • Experience using inspection software and digital reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with geographic information systems (GIS) and mobile data collection technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed inspections of construction sites, infrastructure projects, or designated field operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications.
  • Document inspection results comprehensively, including photographic evidence, written reports, and data entry into tracking systems.
  • Identify and report any deviations, defects, or safety hazards promptly to relevant supervisors and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to clarify inspection criteria and resolve issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory changes to apply best practices during inspections.
