Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business or related discipline required.
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years in a supervisory or management position required.
  • Recent experience (minimum 2-3 years) managing remote workforce is required.
  • Previous experience in inspection services and/or inventory audition is preferred.
  • Must possess strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills, with technical aptitude.
  • Must possess strong time management skills, attention to detail, with mastery of setting priorities and executing those priorities, for self and others.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office products.
  • Must possess aptitude for reporting and analyzing data (inventory, financial and operational in nature) accurately and quickly.
  • Must have the ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must have the ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in inspection services and/or inventory audition is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of ADESA policies, processes, and procedures and the tools used in the conduct of floor plan audits and vehicle or facility inspections.
  • Ensure they have a thorough understanding of the systems that are used daily to complete various components of business.
  • Responsible for driving SLA performance of operations team.
  • Responsible for input and development of KPI's within the group to ensure operational and financial goals are accomplished within designated region.
  • Directly responsible for coordinating Auction Inspection Managers and Vehicle Inspection Specialists to complete tasks as directed by management.
  • Directly responsible for developing teams capable of delivering exceptional inspection services.
  • Oversee the direct efforts to train, motivate, coach, counsel and mentor Auction Inspection Managers and Vehicle Inspection Specialists, including conducting performance management activities.
  • Evaluate expenses, ensuring staffing levels are consistent with workloads and expenses are legitimate business purposes and in accordance with ADESA policies and standards.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with inspections stakeholders.
  • Develop business tools and solutions based on knowledge, product, or technology to identify process improvement opportunities through strategic thinking, critical thinking, and analysis.
  • Work as a liaison between client, customers, and operational management team to ensure service commitments are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure that site Inspection Managers and Vehicle Inspection Specialists meet or exceed metrics as assigned by site management and corporate leadership.
  • Participate in the validation and review of training programs.
  • Assist the Operations group in budget preparation as related to volumes and headcount.
  • Responsible for evaluation and suggesting procedural, informational and product improvements; follow through on the development of those improvements as directed.
  • Monitor performance at the Auction and inspector level and communicate opportunities for improvement with site management.
  • Serve as regional leader to successfully implement strategic initiatives at the auctions.
  • Assist in coordinating travel by inspectors to meet vehicle volume demands as needed at auctions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
