As a field inside sales representative supporting the California territory, you'll have the opportunity to split your time between phone-based sales and traveling to agencies within the assigned territory of California. You will visit independent agencies in the territory to assist with building and strengthening their book of business. Ideal candidates will make use of their strong interpersonal skills while influencing agencies within their territory to market Progressive services and products, while also providing marketing strategies. Home office location: Pasadena, California or Rancho Cordova, California. Candidate must live near Pasadena or Rancho Cordova due to frequent travel in the territory and commute to and from the office daily during your onboarding period.

  • Split time between phone-based sales and traveling to agencies within the assigned territory of California.
  • Visit independent agencies in the territory to assist with building and strengthening their book of business.
  • Influence agencies within their territory to market Progressive services and products
  • Provide marketing strategies
  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of three years of business-to-business sales or property casualty experience
  • This position requires a valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • This position requires compliance with Progressive's driving standards and/or policies
  • Demonstrated outside business-to-business sales and account management experience
  • Experience with large accounts in creating valued business partnerships
  • Ability to use formal and informal networks to secure meetings and accomplish goals
  • Understanding of underwriting
  • Fluency in Spanish language
