About The Position

In this dynamic Field Industrial Engineer Internship, you’ll support process improvement initiatives across our supply chain operations, working alongside seasoned engineers and operational leaders. You'll gain hands-on experience with data collection, time studies, labor standards, and layout optimization while helping drive productivity, safety, and efficiency across our distribution network. Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field.
• Expected graduation dates of December 2026, May 2027, December 2027, or May 2028.
• 3.0 cumulative GPA.
• Proficient in MS Office programs (specifically in Power Point, Excel and data analysis tools).

Nice To Haves

• Strong interpersonal, problem solving, analytical thinking, organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma (basic competency in DMAIC concepts).
• Basic project management skills and/or time studies methodologies experience.
• Relevant internship and experience in industrial engineering or logistics.
• Experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Supply Chain Industrial Engineering, operations, and other cross functional teams to focus on optimizing performance including safety, quality, productivity, accuracy, capacity and efficiency.
• Engage in project management, creative problem solving, business analysis, facility layout, product flow, and change management.
• Implement process improvements including Six Sigma Lean, Kaizen events, and rapid improvement events.
• Identify, adapt, and integrate automated systems and processes in a retail supply chain setting.
• Source and analyze data for various process improvement efforts and support recommendations to leadership.
• Attend weekly meetings as part of the management team to discuss issues and opportunities.
