About The Position

The State College Area School District is currently accepting applications for our Middle School Field Hockey Head Coach position. The Coach is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to student-athletes and assistant coaches as well as providing an overall vision for the program. We are seeking positive, passionate, enthusiastic individuals who will not only instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and physical training, but also guide and mentor them to be driven and responsible student-athletes and citizens. The Head Coach reports to and works closely with the Varsity Head Coach and Athletic Directors to determine goals and direction of the program. Both the PA Dept. of Education and the PIAA require specific safety and coaching training. See the Athletics website for details. SCASD strongly encourages diverse candidates to apply.
