About The Position

The Field Heavy Vehicle & Equipment Technician position involves mechanical craft work focused on the maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of heavy vehicles, automotive, and construction equipment in the field. The role requires diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, evaluating equipment conditions, and performing skilled technical tasks independently in a field environment with limited supervision.

Requirements

• Four years of experience in maintenance, repair, and/or rebuilding of automotive and/or construction equipment.
• Two years of experience specifically with heavy vehicles and construction equipment.
• One year of independent work experience in a related field.
• Ability to receive, store, and distribute parts and/or supplies.
• Class B CDL with air endorsements and Class A & D inspection licenses.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with additional inspection licenses such as Class E.
• Familiarity with state regulations regarding vehicle maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems in heavy vehicles and construction equipment.
• Evaluate overall conditions of equipment and perform necessary repairs.
• Test, install, repair, rebuild, rewire, replace, and fabricate parts for various equipment.
• Work independently in a field environment, exercising independent judgment in maintenance and repair tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
