FlexTek - Field Hazmat Technician and Response Specialists
About The Position
Essel Environmental provides On-Demand Emergency Response, Disaster Recovery Project Personnel throughout the United States. Essel's FlexTeks are versatile technicians who get the job done. We respond to natural and man-made disasters to help communities recover. We are looking for technicians with diverse backgrounds to add to our team! The Field Hazmat Technician is responsible for the performance of tasks including- hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials. Some examples of projects and duties include:
Responsibilities
- Operate light and heavy equipment including: pumps, vacuum, oil spill boom, generators, bobcats, etc.
- Perform emergency response activities including: chemical and water spills, etiological and biological contamination, tank cleaning, equipment decontamination.
- Utilizing hand-tools and equipment, absorbent booms and pads to contain and remediate impacted surfaces, soils and waters.
