About The Position

The position involves evaluating and interpreting subsurface field and sampling data, including soil and groundwater, to develop conclusions concerning environmental and geologic site conditions. The role includes generating subsurface maps and cross-sections and collaborating with engineering and environmental scientist staff on various projects. Responsibilities also include overseeing field monitoring and testing of soils, conducting boring investigations, and classifying soil types. The candidate will interpret soil, bedrock, and groundwater elevation and quality data, and prepare written plans and reports related to site investigations, assessments, and remediation activities. Projects may include construction projects focusing on earthwork and structural foundations, well design and sampling, environmental assessments including Phase I/II site assessments, and seismic risk assessments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year related experience.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

  • Certification in field of expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in pre-task planning and report safety issues to management.
  • Support consistent quality standards on proposal and project delivery.
  • Conduct site visits, field observations, and field data collection.
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of data from various sources.
  • Conduct water, soil, and other sampling.
  • Implement technical requirements to complete client projects.
  • Outline required investigative programs and select proper techniques.
  • May have limited client contact pertaining to specific projects/tasks.
