About The Position

Farmers require reliable information on production, supplies, marketing, prices, weather and a vast array of other inputs. Up-to-date information is essential in planning and administration of federal and state programs. Become part of the team that collects this data across Iowa. Work includes interviewing farmers in person or over the phone and conducting crop counts in the field. Regular training is provided Part time flexible schedule Paid hourly, starting at $17.75 per hour, plus occasional mileage Work in your local area Great for building experience in the agriculture sector Also a great second income or for those semi-retired Intermittent, part-time interviewer position available with the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (a Fair Opportunity Employer). Applicants must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle. Agriculture and computer background are helpful. People skills and attention to detail are a must. Starting wage is $17.75/hour including training time, plus 70 cents/mile for travel. Applicants must consent to a background and motor vehicle record check. Position open until filled.
