About The Position
FedEx Freight, Inc. in Irving, Texas has the following opening for a Field Engineering Specialist II. The role involves analyzing operational data and methods, identifying performance improvement opportunities, and implementing technology systems that meet business objectives. The specialist will provide field operations with analysis, reporting tools, and support to justify operational costs. Responsibilities include analyzing data obtained through multiple sources, researching and presenting technical or engineering-related information for management review, and developing, evaluating, documenting, and improving productivity, service, and cost performance in all operations areas in conjunction with management. The position requires collaboration with all levels of field leadership to identify trends in performance and provide data and technical expertise relating to facility and equipment planning, layout, and cost justification. The specialist will also develop and implement corporate projects and provide education and support for new technology deployments. Travel is required 50% of the time.
