The Field Engineer is responsible for overseeing various aspects of project closeout, including redlines, test audits, lessons learned, warranties, and product submittals. This role involves ensuring that all infrastructure is installed according to design specifications and managing the documentation and verification processes associated with project completion. The Field Engineer will work closely with leads and superintendents to submit changes to the scope of work and will utilize internal trackers for managing redlines for both fiber and copper installations. Additionally, the Field Engineer will conduct audits, verify cable schedules, and ensure that all testing projects align with the prints. The position requires active participation in documenting lessons learned and managing warranties towards the end of the build. The Field Engineer will also be responsible for product submittals and ensuring that all necessary labels are printed and organized for installation teams.

  • Oversee project closeout activities including redlines and warranties.
  • Manage the submission of changes to the scope of work.
  • Verify that all infrastructure is installed to design specifications.
  • Conduct test audits and ensure all testing projects match the prints.
  • Document lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Complete product submittals and verify BOM with POs.
  • Print and organize labels for installation teams.
  • Reference and implement RFIs as needed.
  • Oversee design work including shop drawings and revisions.
  • Must have at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 3-4 years of commercial low-voltage/structured cabling experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents.
  • Experience with BIM360 and design verification.
  • Familiarity with internal tracking systems for project management.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the industry.
  • Competitive hourly wage ranging from USD $30.00 to $40.00.
