About Frontier-Kemper Excellence in Underground and Heavy Civil Construction Frontier-Kemper-Tutor Perini joint venture was awarded the Manhattan Tunnel Project, part of the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). A $1.18 billion design-build contract from the Gateway Development Commission for the HTP which aims to enhance rail resiliency by adding two new tracks between New York and New Jersey and rehabilitating the storm-damaged North River Tunnel. The project includes designing and constructing twin 30-foot diameter, 700-foot-long tunnels under the Hudson River, connecting to existing tunnels beneath Hudson Yards, and an access shaft at 12th Avenue, later serving as a ventilation facility. Extraordinary Projects Need Exceptional Talent DESCRIPTION: As a Field Engineer at Frontier-Kemper, reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to: Review project plans and develop a construction schedule in coordination with project-wide activities. Coordinate with subcontractors on advanced material acquisitions and pre-construction deliverables Develop and assist with obtaining quotes and draft contracts to meet project requirements. Prepare construction work plan packages and coordinate pre-construction meetings while ensuring that all prerequisites to start construction activities are identified and completed. Prepare, update, and distribute work activity schedules/updates, and communicates across discipline groups and agencies to ensure proper advance notifications and coordination of start times. Monitor and participate daily in field construction process. Provides layout checks and technical reviews of work against requirements. Obtain confirmations from design engineer as needed Assist with subcontract administration and permanent material suppliers through monitoring of correspondence, submittals, RFI's, and performance records; Maintains accurate payment records. Assist in preparing monthly reporting for progress payments, schedule updates, and problem/issue tracking and resolution. Provides accurate and factual assessments of project performance. Participate in change orders and claims management Identify and resolves changing site conditions or other impacts during planning of the work Develop quality checks and coordinate permits from appropriate entities Manage and submit project close-out in coordination with the client and third parties
